Community Sports Leader Award
The Community Sports Leader Award is a nationally recognised qualification
run on behalf of the British Sports Trust. The award is designed
to give people over the age of 16 years skills on leading groups
safely in sports and recreational activities. It encourages young
people to take responsibility for others, develop organisational
skills and gain experience to increase confidence.
The seven units studied are Organisational Skills, Safety In Sport,
Know Your Friends, Fitness Sessions, Organisation of events and
competitions, Improvisation and Adapted Experience, 10 Hours Voluntary
Leadership Experience.
The West London
Sports Trust also runs the Junior Sports Leader Awards, Higher
Sports Leader Awards and candidates can be referred to attend Tutor
